Hila Solomon is a founding partner of the Firm and has over a decade of legal experience as a former Big Law attorney and senior in-house counsel at one of the world's largest real estate companies. She represents investors, developers, lenders, borrowers, landlords, tenants, family offices, and private companies in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions throughout the United States involving office, multifamily, industrial, retail, hospitality, mixed-use, and development properties.
Her experience includes advising on acquisitions and dispositions, portfolio transactions, joint ventures, debt and equity financings, development projects, commercial leasing, GSI lending, loan servicing, and asset management matters. Hila advises clients through every stage of the transaction lifecycle, delivering practical, efficient, and business-oriented counsel designed to achieve exceptional commercial outcomes and successfully advance her clients' strategic objectives.
Prior to co-founding the Firm, Hila served as Senior Counsel in the Debt and Structured Finance division of CBRE, Inc., where she was the sole legal advisor supporting one of the company's national business lines. In that capacity, she provided strategic legal counsel to business leadership for a platform responsible for approximately $95 billion in annual financing volume and a global loan servicing portfolio exceeding $450 billion. She independently advised on complex legal and commercial matters, negotiated and drafted a broad range of sophisticated commercial agreements, assessed and managed legal risk, and served as the primary decision-maker on legal issues affecting loan servicing, commercial lending, borrower and client negotiations, commission and brokerage arrangements, lender-side transactions, dispute resolution, and the management of outside counsel.
Previously, Hila practiced for more than a decade at Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher LLP, where she was an associate in the firm's Real Estate Department and also practiced in the Litigation Department. During her tenure, she represented institutional investors, developers, lenders, borrowers, landlords, and tenants in sophisticated domestic and cross-border real estate transactions involving office, multifamily, data center, cold-storage, retail, single-family, mixed-use, hospitality, and other commercial assets. Her experience includes acquisitions and dispositions, construction and permanent financings, joint ventures, development transactions, leasing, title and survey review, corporate governance matters, and real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
In addition to her client work, Hila maintained an active leadership role at Gibson Dunn, serving on the firm's Harvard Law School recruiting team and Community Affairs Committee while mentoring junior attorneys and managing complex transaction teams.
Over the course of her career, Hila has maintained a longstanding commitment to pro bono legal work, representing numerous clients in matters ranging from contract disputes and domestic violence restraining orders to asylum proceedings. She has also provided pro bono representation through the Campus Antisemitism Legal Line.
Hila has been recognized by Southern California Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for seven consecutive years from 2018 through 2024, an honor awarded to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in the State, and by Best Lawyers as Ones to Watch in America in Real Estate Law for 2022 through 2025. She is admitted to practice law in the State of California.
